Driver Testimonials

When Cassie Powell co-signed on an auto loan for her son, Steven, she decided that GAP protection would
be a good idea.

“Steven was a younger driver and we knew
that younger drivers tend to get into more
accidents,” stated Cassie.

Cassie had no idea how right she was. The Powells received a loan for a 1998 Monte Carlo from her credit union and due to the age and loan to value of the vehicle, the credit union recommended GAP.

“Steven had the car for about six months when he got into a single car accident and the insurance company said the car was a total loss. Luckily, we had the GAP protection,” said Cassie. The Powells owed $4,346 on their loan, but their primary insurance provider valued the vehicle at only $1,880.

“For Steven, the GAP worked out really well,” said Cassie. “The GAP actually paid more than our primary insurance company.” “Best of all, it was easy. The credit union handled most everything for us once the insurance company completed the claim. Steven now has a 1997 Monte Carlo that he paid cash for, but is thankful that he had GAP.

“We felt that GAP would be
a great idea and it turned out
to be a fortuitous decision.”

“When we bought our 2003 Buick Century, our son told us to get
GAP on it.”

A son’s good advice saved his parents nearly $3,500 and a lot of head ache. In May of 2008, less than seven months after buying their new car, the unimaginable happened to Peggy York.

While crossing an intersection that she has driven through nearly every day for 30 years, a pick-up truck broad-sided her Buick Century … leaving it as a total loss.

With an outstanding loan balance of about $9,685, Peggy’s primary insurance only paid $6,198. “We were very pleased with GAP.

Without it, we would have had to add almost $3,500 to our new car loan,” stated Peggy. “As retirees, we don’t have a way to get extra cash. GAP is really a necessity for us.”

GAP was such a necessity that they included it on their new car, a 2004 Buick Century as well.

“If you had asked me before
the accident, I’d have told you
that I wouldn’t need GAP.”
- Peggy York
